Prof. Yike Guo is the Provost of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Chair Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He is a world-renowned computer scientist who has led several large-scale AI and data science research projects in Hong Kong, UK and other European countries. He was the Vice-President (Research and Development) of Hong Kong Baptist University and the founding Director of the Institute of Data Science at Imperial College London's six global institutes. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (MAE), a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences (FHKEng), a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FIEEE), a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), and a Fellow of the Chinese Institute for Engineering Intelligence (FCAAI).
Professor Guo Yike won the 2022 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award for Outstanding Contribution Award, which is considered to be the highest honor in the field of intelligent science and technology in China.

Ir Prof Samson Tai is a Professor of Practice of Data Economy Lab at the Hong Kong Baptist University. Previously, Samson was the Chief Technology Officer of IBM Hong Kong and IBM Distinguished Engineer. Samson has been active in public services and sits on a variety of committees, industry boards and councils. He also serves as a Director to the ASTRI Board. Samson has a doctoral and a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Dr Alan Cheung is the Chief Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Trust Technologies division at ASTRI. He leads the division in driving ASTRI’s initiatives, particularly in the areas of FinTech and Smart City, with innovative applications such as generative AI, blockchain systems, cybersecurity, secure FinTech services, federated learning, risk assessment and multimedia data analytics. As a proactive collaborator with strong business acumen, Alan is always keen to connect with commercial partners to develop innovative use cases across industry sectors.
Kane is the CEO and Founder of ThinkCol – one of Hong Kong’s first specialized AI and data science consultancy firms. Over the years, he has advised and built AI solutions for companies from various fields. Managing data scientists, UI/UX designers and business analysts, Kane leads ThinkCol Transform to enable business to be more AI-driven. Being a seasoned digital consultant, a Certified Public Accountant, and a New York attorney, Kane has the unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary ventures. He takes pride in using his technical know-how to transform companies, hence they can be data-driven and innovative entities.
Clarence Cheung, Global Head of Wholesale Business Risk Analytics at HSBC, has 20+ years of experience in data governance, operations, business intelligence, automation, and data science. He applies data and analytics to address non-financial risks, including fraud and AML. His diverse career includes consulting, investing in startups, and managing a family business across the US, China, Italy, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. Clarence holds Masters degrees from Carnegie Mellon and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and is a part-time PhD student at HKUST, researching AI, VR, and Deep Fake technology. He enjoys family time, violin, 3D printing, and tech for social good.
Dr Crystal Fok is the Director of AI Applications at Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, where she leads initiatives to advance AI development. Her focus is on building a comprehensive AI ecosystem and enhancing infrastructure support to drive innovation in the field.
Previously, Dr Fok was the Head of the Digital Service Hub at Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP). In this capacity, she directed various innovation and technology initiatives aimed at promoting technology adoption across industries and enabling cross-industry data collaboration.
Dr Fok earned her PhD in Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Her research interests include artificial intelligence, robotic arm manipulation, micro-robotics, MEMS, and micro-optics.

Mr Hsu is HKEX’s Group Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the Group’s IT infrastructure, operations, development and support functions in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He is also a member of the Management Committee at HKEX.

Prof. Chun is a Professor of Practice at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Adjunct Professor at City University of Hong Kong. He has advised numerous companies on technology innovation and previously led technology initiatives at Prudential plc. Prof. Chun has also held CEO positions at AI start-ups and served as the University CIO at City University of Hong Kong. He is a senior advisor to the HKSAR Government and has received multiple awards for his contributions to the tech community.
Alex has over 25+ years of experience in the information technology industry served in international conglomerate with main focus on Fintech as well as currently being the Designated General Manager – Corporate Information Technology for The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited. During all his career life in IT, his main focus has always been on bridging users (external and internal) with technology as that is actually one of the hardest and most challenging area in enabling technology in general.
He has recently joined the HKCS Specialist Group called AISG as an Executive Committee member. The objective of the group is to keep HKCS members abreast of the general movement of AI.
Martin Liu has over 15 years of working experience in AI industry. He is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in developing computer vision solutions and in depth knowledge in product development. Currently Martin is the assistant director of HKSTP.

Her research interests lie in AI-enabled speech and language technologies. She serves as Founding Director of the Centre for Perceptual and Interactive Intelligence (CPII) since 2020, which is the CUHK-led InnoCentre on Artificial Intelligence (AI) located in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Ltd. In 2019, she was awarded the first Hong Kong SAR Government Research Grant Council’s Theme-based Research Grant in the field of AI, which supports her interdisciplinary team to develop AI-enabled spoken language technologies to screen and diagnose neurocognitive disorder (a.k.a. dementia). Since 2019, Helen has been Co-Principal Investigator and Chair of Curriculum Development of the CUHK-JC AI4Future Project, and developed the first comprehensive pre-tertiary AI education curriculum in Hong Kong, adopted by the Government’s Education Bureau.

Dr Gary Yiu is the Head of Risk Management at Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited, where he leads the firm’s cyber resilience function. Before this role, he served as the Head of IT Audit at a note-issuing bank in Hong Kong and held the position of Associate Director at one of the Big-4 accounting firms.
Derek Shih is the Deputy General Manager of IT Risk Management at China CITIC Bank International (CNCBI). He currently leads the IT Risk Management team in the second line of defense, focusing on both technology risk management and information and cybersecurity risk management.
Colin is the Security Consultant at Check Point Software Technologies Limited (Hong Long and Macau) and a seasoned cyber-security professional with plenty of experience in dealing with the ever-changing cyber threats. Before joining Check Point, Colin had worked in the telecommunications industry for about 10 years, serving customers mainly in FSI sectors, with specific focus on both design and implement on digital transformation related solution or solution fulfilling regulator requirement.

Joyce heads the Global Affairs and Research Division of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD). Her responsibilities include providing policy advice and developing guidance in relation to personal data protection and international privacy landscape. Representing the PCPD, Joyce is actively involved in international engagements. She also provides legal support to the PCPD in overseeing and enforcing compliance with the local privacy laws.
As the Chief Systems Manager (Data Applications) of the Digital Policy Office, Mr Brian Sun’s main duty is to support the implementation of open data policy. He provides coordination and liaison support to bureaux/departments (B/Ds) and other public / private organisations, facilitating them to open up their data on the open data portal (data.gov.hk) for the public’s free use. Mr Sun is also responsible for the maintenance and updates of this open data portal and providing professional advice to B/Ds on the best practices of opening up data and open data formatting.
Dr Wang Liwei graduated from UIUC CS. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the CSE department, CUHK, leading the Language and Vision (LaVi) Lab. Dr Wang's main research direction is artificial intelligence, focusing on multi-modal AI. Recently, the main research work of Dr Wang's team focuses on multi-modal understanding and generation, video-language large models, the understanding and evaluation of language models and multi-modal models, etc.
