A government policy in goal setting, supporting research, driving academic and industry collaboration, in Hong Kong as well as in the Greater Bay Area, is required for making the vision a reality.

CoCoon is a partner of the Google for Startups network and runs the 92 Express Program to empower women founders globally to build hardware companies in the Greater Bay Area. The CoCoon Foundation partners with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and brings entrepreneurship education to over 10,000 local secondary school students. The second quantum revolution The first quantum revolution led to the development of technologies such as solidstate
transistors and lasers, which changed almost every aspect of our lives. We are now on the verge of a second quantum revolution, which requires the design and manipulation of complex quantum systems that can lead to new quantum technologies. This lecture will introduce the idea of the second quantum revolution by focusing on the past, present and future of quantum computers. Presentation Language: English
 Prof. Zeng received the B.Sc. degree in physics and mathematics and M.Sc. degree in physics from Tsinghua University, in 2002 and 2004, respectively. She received the Ph.D. degree in physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2009. From2009 to 2010, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), University of Waterloo. In 2010, she joined the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, University of Guelph, as an assistant professor, and promoted to Tenured Associate Professor in 2014 and Professor in 2018. In 2019, she joined the Department of Physics, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as a Professor. In 2021, Prof. Zeng was elected the Fellow of American Physical Society (APS) by the Division of Quantum Information (DQI). |

Entrepreneurial Education in the New Normal In this sharing, Professor Erwin Huang will cover his entrepreneurship education experience in recent years. Bringing in his experience as angel investor, educator as well as social innovator, Erwin will share his view on the entrepreneurship landscape and how best to prepare our next generations of entrepreneurs.
Under the new normal, social distancing, minimal traveling and hybrid work mode will remain for the foreseeable future. Currently, he is Associate Professor (Entrepreneurship), Serial Entrepreneur in EdTech of HKUST, his mission is to teach Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship to university students and to let more young generations understand entrepreneurial spirit, as well as creating social impact through innovations. He is Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of DreamStarter, a community initiative that makes dream projects initiated by school students come true, and Chairman of Social Career, a nonprofit organization that educates the public about volunteerism.
